VIKASJYOTHI COVID CARE
India is currently experiencing the devastating effects of the second wave of Covid 19. There is much suffering, sorrow and grief all over the country. The infection rate is alarmingly increasing day by day. The daily death toll is so high that the crematoriums and burial grounds are not able to cope as people are queuing up to find a slot to perform the last rites for their loved ones. There is acute shortage of basic medical facilities such as hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, ICU beds and ventilators. The heart-breaking scenes that are being witnessed outside hospitals, people dying without getting oxygen, reveal the grim reality of India’s healthcare system collapsing.
Livelihood Support to the most vulnerable
Vikasjyothi, based in Mysore has launched a modest program of helping the most vulnerable sections of our society in this hour of national disaster.
As an immediate help of sustenance to the poorest of the poor, Vikasjyothi has designed a Livelihood Support program covering more than 20 centers across Karnataka. We have identified hundreds of poor families in these centers who need our urgent help.
The beneficiaries are identified by our local representatives and a Request Form is obtained from each of them. As an immediate help, Vikasjyothi makes a cash transfer of Rs. 6000/- to the bank accounts of the families who are found eligible.
